Our Service Experts arrive in uniform, are background checked, insured, and bonded. They have been professionally trained and attend monthly training sessions. Most have been with us for years and will take the utmost care while in your home *.

Once service is completed payment is expected and the Service Expert will accept credit, debit, check, or cash on site.

Following is how you can prepare for our arrival. Please review the following tips to help us provide an exceptional service experience for you…


  • Open/raise all window treatments and blinds if applicable
  • Remove all knick-knacks/valuables/breakables from window sills or other areas where we will be working.
  • Do your best to remove furniture, curtains, and plants away from windows including obstacles on decks, porches and sunrooms.
  • If you need help moving items we can help.
  • Unlock all security doors and disarm security system.
  • To ensure our cleaner’s safety please keep pets with you or in a safe designated area during our visit.
  • Outside Only: If we are not cleaning the inside windows, and your screens are only removable from the inside, have them removed and set outside for us to clean, otherwise we will not be able to clean the glass behind the screens. MAKE SUwindow latchRE THE WINDOWS ARE LOCKED AND LATCHED See Picture – (tabs at the top corners of the sliding pane are pushed into place). We are not responsible for broken windows due to unlatched windows falling in.You can pay extra for us to remove the screens/clean the inside panes anytime you like. Just let us know beforehand, as we are very busy and the time is always something we have to keep in mind.
  • Outside only does not include the sills and tracks, but it does include the outside frames.
  • Our standard cleaning does not include paint removal, hard water or chemical stain removal, or damaged panes. These services including construction cleanup are available and priced separately.
  • Sills & Tracks: We will clean them with a towel removing most all dust and dirt. Deep cleaning of your sills and tracks is available at an additional charge. Please request prior to the service call.
  • Screens: We will hand wash your screens outside with cleaning solution and water and re-install them.
  • Storm Windows: Please be sure all storm windows can be opened and are accessible.
  • Weather: Our Service Experts will still arrive during a light rain. Rain water is pure water and does not affect the quality or outcome of the service (we guarantee it or we will come back). If work cannot be completed due to severe weather, we will arrange for a reschedule.

While at your home, we can provide cleaning to solar panels, skylights, mirrors, chandeliers, ceiling fans, and change high light bulbs. Just ask for a quick quote from our experts.

  • Make sure all screens are intact.
  • Move or remove any items from exterior of house you feel is appropriate whether for safety of our Service Experts or safety of items.
  • If you need help moving items we can help.
  • Securely shut all doors including garage doors, storm doors, screen doors.
  • Clear driveway as much as possible for our equipment convenience and safety.
  • To ensure our cleaner’s safety please keep pets with you or in a safe designated area during our visit.

  • All gutters are hand cleaned, rinsed, downspouts de-clogged, and debris is hauled away.
  • If the downspouts have an underground pipeline to channel the water, we will remove the piping from the downspout end (if it will allow) to prevent clogging from any gutter debris (we are not responsible for cleaning the underground gutter piping).

What if you have Gutter Guards, Gutter Screens, or Foam Inserts in or on your gutter system?

Over time we have tried various methods to clean gutters with gutter guard systems in place. We have only come up with one way to efficiently clean them without voiding the warranty or affecting the integrity of the gutter system. If you have some type of gutter guard system in place, the five steps below will outline how we will clean your gutters.

  1. Clean the top of the ‘guards’ off – removing any debris that has accumulated.
  2. Clean any debris off the roof valleys – only going up as far as the Service Expert can reach using a pole.
  3. Use a pressure washing wand or hose sprayer (spraying inside the gutter) to push the debris toward and down the downspout until all debris is removed from the gutter and downspout.
  4. Rinse any overspray or debris off the outside of the gutter, fascia, windows, siding, etc.
  5. Bag and remove any debris from the landscape, bottom of the downspouts, roof valleys, and gutter system.

Caution: If our company did not install the gutter or gutter guard system currently in place, please be aware that Bright and Shiny is not responsible for any existing or future damage caused by cleaning out your gutters. Gutter protection systems come in all shapes and sizes and are generally made of sheet metal, plastic, or foam inserts. These guards being exposed to the elements increases the potential of disintegration and damage even further. For example: plastic and thin sheet metal guards have a tendency to warp and become brittle after prolonged exposure to the sun, wind, and rain. Foam inserts will only last for so long before they begin to disintegrate. Bright and Shiny will not be responsible for the aforementioned or for broken clips, prongs, holes, bent pieces of screen or guards, etc. All being common issues with gutter guards that face the elements. Please be advised that if we were to remove your gutter system to access and clean, the gutter protection system warranty may be voided.

THE FINE PRINT: Please keep in mind there is a 2-hour arrival window for all appointments. We do our best to arrive at the earliest time given. Sometimes we may need to take some extra time at the customer’s home that was scheduled earlier in the day. And sometimes unforeseen traffic just slows our Service Experts down.
